Your Income is entirely depends on Allah Almighty
There is no correlation between effort and income/provisions
Before we start, I want you to understand what provision (rizq) means from an Islamic perspective:
provision (rizq) refers to anything that Allah bestows upon His creation to sustain and benefit them in this world and the Hereafter.
This includes not only material wealth and food but also health, knowledge, family, skills, opportunities, and spiritual blessings such as faith and guidance.
I want to talk specifically about the material & wealth provisions, as many of us—including myself—struggle with our faith in Allah when it comes to relying on Him for sustenance.
We often think that our efforts alone bring us sustenance and provision.” (Converted into a statement for clarity.

If He The Almighty withholds His provision, no amount of effort can bring it to you.
Sometimes, you give your best to earn money through one path (A), yet Allah ﷻ provides for you through another path (B). And sometimes, without any effort at all, you still receive sustenance.

HOW?
Allah ﷻ is Ar-Razzaq—The Ultimate Provider. He provides whenever, wherever, and however He wills.
It is He who gives and withholds His provisions
He ﷻ said:
who is it that will provide for you if He withholds His provision? but they persist in arrogance and aversion.” (Surah Al-Mulk 67:21)
Allah is also The Generous (Al-Karim). He provides for you out of His mercy, not because you necessarily deserve it. In reality, we don’t truly deserve anything, as we are merely poor and dependent slaves of Allah ﷻ.
Have you ever asked yourself: Do I truly deserve this blessing? And then cried out to Allah in gratitude and humility?
The Powerful Dua of Musa (AS)
When Prophet Musa (AS) fled from Egypt after accidentally killing a man, he found himself in a state of fear, hunger, and exhaustion, wandering in the land of Madyan. He had no home, no provisions, and no clear direction.
As he rested near a well, he noticed two women struggling to water their flock. Despite his own difficulties, Musa (AS) helped them. After doing so, he turned to Allah in complete humility and made this dua:
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
“My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.” (Surah Al-Qasas 28:24)
This dua reflects total reliance on Allah and recognition of one’s need for His mercy and blessings. Shortly after, Allah answered Musa’s dua by providing him with food, shelter, and even a family through the generous man who offered Musa his daughter in marriage.
Seriously, whenever you face hardships, recite this dua with sincerity. Like Musa (AS), trust that Allah will ease your burden and provide for you in ways you cannot imagine.
The key is Dua. The Prophet ﷺ said:
الدُّعَاءُ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ
Dua is the essence of worship.
I started implementing this in my daily life, and I’ve witnessed miraculous things happen to me.
Tune your tongue to dhikr & dua all the time.
Make Dua for the smallest things Some of the Salaf used to ask Allah in his prayers for all his needs, even the salt of his dough and the fodder of his sheep.
Do not hesitate to ask your Lord for even the smallest thing, for if Allah does not make it easy, it will not be easy.
